Poor Unfortunate Souls

Let me begin this post by explaining this project.
I'm a big Disney fan, and I'm a particularly huge Disney villain fan. I don't know why, but I just think that Disney villains are WAY cool.

SO I'm dressing up my very willing friends as villains and taking pictures of them.
I am doing the make up, hair, pictures and editing of pictures. I will also make videos to go with each character. :)
For this photo shoot, my lovely friend Dana posed as Ursula.

I love that the hair almost makes Dana look like she's under water.

I wanted to include the the purple on her face just as a contouring effect instead of her whole face to give Ursula an original look, but to also have a bit of the original character in the look. I used eye shadow pencil by Rimmel London, Scandal Eyes in the color paranoid purple.

The eye make up was inspired by colors of the ocean. I love the blues and greens. I used 2 different shades of blue and a shade of green. I used a color pallet from E.L.F.

We used Gorilla Snot Gel for Dana's hair, and let me tell you....that stuff is STICKY!!!

One Transfer

In missionary terms, a transfer is 6 weeks.
Well guess what.

Today I have been home for one whole transfer.

CRAZY!!!!
It's gone by so fast it seems like just yesterday I was this little twerp in the Missionary Training Center.

But that was over 18 months ago.
And boy do I miss it.

But what am I doing now?
I just got a job. Today was my third day working at Crane Aerospace.
I love it so far :)

I'm also trying to get more involved in the single's ward, so I'm not bored out of my mind and so I can make some friends.

Well, that's it for tonight.
Here are a couple other pictures from my mission :)

Love,
Emma

Poofy Hair Project

I literally have a project that I am working on that is all about poofy hair.
I decided to do it because of the texture. I LOVE texture.
So, in this project, my goal is to have the texture of the hair, but then to have angles and color.
I wanted to experiment with different positions, outfits and make up.
I've done a hoot with my sister Abby and my best friend Carly.
It's been really fun and it's helping me unleash my creative side.

I took pictures of my sister first. We found a cool little trail off the side of the road for these.
I wish her hair could have been bigger, but Abby's hair hate volume unfortunately.
I went for a grungy/hipster outfit for her look and darker make up.

I love the last 3 of Abby because the jumping one is cool, the 2nd one, she's dancing, and I love the tension in the last one.

For my shoot with Carly, we went to Vasquez rocks in Agua Dolce.
We started with a softer look. I chose outfits with brighter colors, we pinned her hair back and Carly went natural with the make up. I think these just turned out so beautiful.

Then we got hard core! Dark make up, graphic tees and we let the crazy mane go! It was so fun.

It was so fun!

Also, check out Carly's blog. She edited some of the pictures too and they're pretty awesome!
Just click here.

Thank you Carly and Abby for being my guinea pigs.
I'm going to continue with this project for a little bit.
If you want to be one of my victims, let me know :)

Love,
Emma
